Thanks Poppy and everyone who appreciates seeing more of the man behind the camera. In the early days Harry was quite adamant that I should not publish his name and this was quite difficult as I was getting credit for all of his wonderful pictures. Even the acclaimed sparrowhawk pictures were down to Harry as he was the one holding the bird! AND Brenda who was taking turns with the camera won't give me any credit! With Cathi's permission and support I have now been able to reveal more of the wonderful man.
Although the lovely little Lotus was indeed Harry's, the photograph of it is Po Simpson, who was also kind enough to wash it! Thanks to everyone for their kind words. And to Roger for taking on my garden - although I do know it is only an excuse to have something to write on the blog!
Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI love the long tailed tit and the juxtaposition of it to the 'raptor' in your arrangement.
ReplyDeleteDid Harry ever publish a photo book? It would make a good coffee table book.
I loved those two as well! And the little bird on the camera tripod!
DeleteFab photos!
ReplyDeletePictures are a great legacy. Harry's have certainly enhanced this blog.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular bird pics as usual! Glad we finally see BEHIND the camera too.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Lovely to finally put a face to the name. The hawk is fabulous.
