Photographic Competition Winner!

A huge thanks to all those who sent me their pictures from the last Boundary Cottage NGS Open Day Photographic Competition. As before, it's been really hard to choose a winner. Both technically and artistically, the standard is brilliant.

What made it even worse this time, was that the two best photos came from a husband and wife, Lesley and Martyn Webster. Martyn's pictures of butterflies are superb, but it is Lesley's gunnera that is the winner and takes the £10 Marks and Spencer's gift voucher. The picture is unlike anything else sent in, but it just seems to epitomise the Open Day, the competition and the garden! And it's fun!

The winner! From Lesley Webster.
The runner-up! Martyn's butterflies are superb, as are Lesley's! This gorgeous moth, however, comes a very close second.
In third place, and technically one of the best, is this picture of the little sempervivum pots from Peter Burridge.

  1. A worthy winner! What a great picture - he looks like David Attenborough emerging from the jungle!
